Apex College invities application for BCIS, BBA, BBA-BI, BBA-TT

Apex College invites application form from eligible candidates to study Undergraduate Programs for Fall 2018 sessions. Apex offers 4 undergraduate programs, BCIS, BBA, BBA-BI and BBA-TT at the undergraduate level.

Bachelor of Computer Information System (BCIS) is a four-year program that combines information systems with management. This program offers courses like a programming language, networking and data communications besides core management courses. Till now, 514 students have graduated from BCIS program who have placed themselves in different positions in IT sectors.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Apex College is aimed at developing students’ capabilities in heading and managing organizations. It offers courses in management that helps students choose a wide variety of career options. 818 students have so far graduated from Apex College in BBA program and have established themselves as entrepreneurs and leaders of businesses in Nepal and abroad.

BBA in Banking and Insurance (BBA-BI) is a program designed envisioning the need for professionals who can manage and lead the banking and insurance sector, focusing especially the Nepalese context. The courses offered in this program are designed specially to enhance the knowledge of students for the financial sector. 590 students have graduated from BBA-BI till now.

BBA in Travel and Tourism (BBA-TT) is meant for students willing to contribute in the field of travel and tourism. Courses like tourism product development, travel agency management, and operations, tourism policy and planning give students a better understanding of the sector. 114 students have graduated from Apex College
in this program.

Students in all our undergraduate programs are also required to complete internships, project works and other co-curricular activities which makes their learning more practical. Internships at Apex College are facilitated by a team of faculty and staff from Apex Career Services. Students are guided to select organizations for internships based on their program and area of interest. Students at Apex College also undergo SMART programs which have helped students to hone their presentation and research skills.

Student-led clubs and events organized by them are platforms where students can implement the classroom learning into real life. This makes learning more effective
and with over 20 events held annually, students develop their leadership, managerial and networking skills.

To apply for undergraduate programs, the applicant must have a minimum of 12 years formal schooling and CGPA of 2.0 or 45 percent, with minimum grade “C” in every subject at +2. The selection process includes computer-based written exam and personal interview.

Apex Grabs First Jay Nepal Cup- 2018

Apex College has grabbed the first Jay Nepal Cup Held in Kathmandu from 15th June to 26th June, 2018. The football tournament hosted over 19 colleges whereby the students of Apex College beat all the other teams in total 5 matches. The Apex Football team is a student – led team of over 16 students representing all undergraduate program of the college and alumni. The team of Apex College was managed by Bijen Malla and Sansar Palanchoke. Both are the recent graduates of Apex College. All the promotional and communication of the Football team was managed by the Apex Sports Club, a student-lead club at Apex that organizes and coordinates all sports related events at Apex and outside.

Mr. Ujen Khadka was awarded the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Mr Khadka is the student of BCIS program and is currently studying in 2nd semester at Apex College. Opportunities like this is a great moment for students to showcase their talent and Apex College really provides us with an environment to explore this kind of experiences. Says Mr. Kiran Khatri, President of Apex Sports Club when asked about the experience of coaching the players, an alumni of Apex Mr. Samar Palanchoke mentors “It was more than a month’s preparation and we worked really hard to reach this level. Teamwork was vital in grabbing this trophy and the boys really showed that in the field. I am very happy for the team and we have built good network with each other. Apex College has always strived for excellence in everything it does. The efforts of students to excel in real world is what the college always focuses on. Classroom learning of management is never complete unless it is practiced in real.
The students handed over the trophy to the college management under a small hand-over ceremony held on 27th June in Apex College premises. It was indeed a cheerful moment for all Apexians to celebrate the moment of achievement.

As per the agreement signed between Apex College and Padova University, four Apexians (MBA and MBAEvening students) Asha Manandhar, Dipika Chand, Kanchan Rauniyar, and Sweeta Timilsina are provided with Erasmus Plus scholarship.

Apex FIFA 2017

Apex IT Club successfully organized Apex FIFA 17 Xbox 360 Tournament with support from the college on July 19-21. Organized with the objective of promoting gaming culture at college, there were over 150 active participants in the 3-day event.
