On March 2, the Apex Freshers’ Program 2021 was held for the current 2nd Semester students: to celebrate new beginnings, build new connections, and take ownership of the learning process. The program was organized by the 3rd Semester students. The event, held at Dhumbaraha Venue, was attended by a large gathering of students, the organizing team and volunteers, faculty, staff, guests, and judges.
The Apex Freshers’ Program is the trademark introductory celebration that marks the beginning of the Apexian journey. It focuses on the core areas of building connections, grooming oneself, breaking out of the comfort zone, and finding oneself. In the lead-up to the program, a pageant- like training was provided by the organizing team, which comprised former program participants. These mentors taught the newbies the finer points of etiquette and preparing for photoshoots and talent shows.
On the day of the event, the participants of the talent show introduced themselves and put on performances that were judged by a panel made up of Jay Pradhan (media personality), Nirnit Tandukar (photographer), and Sandesh Katwal (Business Head at The Kathmandu Post and Digital Marketing). The judges picked Christina Shahi and Jeshan Shrestha as Mr and Ms Apex Fresher 2021, respectively.
